Today, a somewhat special card, as it is not one of the One Piece TCG cards published by Bandai, the Metakira Luffy illustrated and signed by Mr. Eiichiro Oda himself!
It has been exclusively distributed at NatsuComi 2026 in Japan since July 1st.
A card signed by the master
What makes this card absolutely unique is its illustration and its "metallic" effect. Unlike the usual One Piece Card Game cards, whose visuals are entrusted to specialized illustrators, this version of Luffy features artwork directly created by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the original work.
NatsuComi 2026: an exclusive event
NatsuComi (夏コミ), short for Summer Comiket, is one of the largest annual events in Japanese pop culture. Every year, thousands of fans gather to celebrate manga, anime, and card game culture.
This morning, exclusively, our team in Japan went to a store to participate in the event which generated long queues in Japanese bookstores.
Investment or collection?
Whether you are a passionate collector or a savvy investor in the Japanese card market, this Metakira Luffy represents a rare opportunity. Japanese event cards with author illustrations have historically shown very strong long-term appreciation. As a limited edition, with artwork of this quality, it has all the characteristics of a card that will gain value over time.
Above all, at MatooCorp, we pre-select the condition of the cards because their metallic finish makes them extremely fragile and prone to scratches. Don't worry, our team of experts will choose them carefully, and the logistics team will ensure the card is shipped protected and perfectly packaged.
Available in very limited quantities on MatooCorp. Don't miss this exceptional piece.
